Wanting From Fullness

Not wanting anything isn’t the goal.

People who land there permanently become subtly unavailable.

They’re peaceful in a way that doesn’t quite include you.

The deeper move is wanting from fullness instead of from lack.

You still want to see your friend.

You still want the work to land.

The wanting isn’t a hole that needs filling.

It’s an overflow looking for somewhere to go.

Two people can say the same sentence and one is asking while the other is offering.

The words are identical.

The nervous system across from them registers the difference instantly, even when the conscious mind can’t say what it picked up on.

This is what people are responding to when they call someone magnetic and can’t explain why.

It’s desire that isn’t trying to extract anything.

The person walks in already full.

The wanting that remains is the shape the fullness takes when it moves toward something.

You don’t get there by suppressing desire.

You get there by no longer needing it to be answered.
